After announcing their farewell tour on Thursday, “The Long Goodbye,” the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame band said goodbye after a “miraculous 52-year odyssey.” There will be a few more chances to see The Eagles play live before they retire, but no Florida dates have been confirmed yet, so fans may have to fly. The trip is anticipated to run until 2025.
When will The Eagles go on tour again?
The Eagles have performed live for nearly 50 years, but “The Long Goodbye” will be their last tour. Many gigs are planned for each city since the band wants to “perform as many shows in each market as their audience demands.”
The Eagles will kick off their tour on September 7 in New York City’s Madison Square Garden. They will then travel to other major towns around the country. The St. Paul, Minnesota event on November 17 is the final of this run, but there will be more.
So, they’ve started a long farewell tour that will last until 2025. This tour is a farewell to an era, giving fans one more chance to see the band live.
The Eagles band members
Since 1971 (!), the band has undergone several lineup changes.
Don Henley, a founding member of the band (drums and vocals; best known for the 1980s hit “Boys of Summer”), is now 75 years old, although he still tours with the band regularly.
On tour accompanying him will be 22-time Grammy winner 65-year-old Vince Gill, Glenn Frey’s 30-year-old son Deacon, and 75-year-old Joe Walsh (of the James Gang and Ringo Starr’s All Starr Band, respectively).
The band has performed over a thousand performances and sold over a hundred and fifty million records over their storied history, earning them six Grammy Awards.
