The official trailer for the second season of the coming-of-age love drama The Summer I Turned Pretty is now available on Amazon Prime Video. Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, Gavin Casalegno, Jackie Chung, Sean Kaufman, Rain Spencer, and Elsie Fisher star in the Jenny Han series.
The highly anticipated second season of the show created by Jenny Han and Sarah Kucserka will premiere this summer. The second season’s first three episodes will debut on Friday, July 14, with subsequent episodes debuting every Friday until the season concludes on August 18.
Swift has already been highlighted in “The Summer I Turned Pretty” series, so this is not her first appearance. This Love,” “Cruel Summer,” and “False God” were all featured in the first season, which debuted at No. 1 on Amazon Prime over the weekend. Three years after their initial releases, all three songs reappeared in the Billboard Top 40.

On June 29, 2023, the teaser for Season 2 of The Summer I Turned Pretty premiered. Starring as Isabel “Belly” Conklin, Conrad Fisher, and Jeremiah Fisher, respectively, in the love triangle drama series are Lola Tung, Christopher Briney, and Gavin Casalegno. The trailer incorporates two songs by popular singer Taylor Swift, “Back to December” and “August,” as the protagonists deal with love, life, friendship, and family.
Belly (Lola Tung) is only one of several important characters introduced in the teaser, which runs for 2 minutes and 52 seconds. Their chemistry, squabbles, and breakups are all captured on film. There’s so much going on in this brief preview of Season 2 that it’s hard to know where to start.
At the dinner table, Belly and Conrad are seen openly holding hands; Taylor and Steven are growing closer; there are early symptoms of a love triangle forming between Belly, Conrad, and Jeremiah; and — uh oh, is that a quarrel between Conrad and Jeremiah? There’s no telling if the brothers are fighting each other or just throwing fists at the party.
According to the official Season 2 synopsis, “Belly used to count down the days until she could return to Cousins Beach, but with Conrad and Jeremiah fighting over her heart and the return of Susannah’s cancer, she’s not sure summer will ever be the same.” “When an unexpected visitor threatens the future of Susannah’s beloved house, Belly has to rally the gang to come together—and decide once and for all where her heart lies.”
